Australian cattle on grain fewer by 36 percent

Australia recently has fewer cattle on grain, dropping by 36 percent caused by rocketing feed grain prices and a strong Australian dollar.

Malcolm Foster from the Australian Lot Feeders Association said that a bumper sorghum crop should now work in the industry's favour.

Foster added that should the industry return to normal seasons then grain prices would come back to some degree and the sums will start to work when grain prices come back, cattle prices come back or meat prices rise.
