Lohmann introduces L-carnitine product for monogastrics and ruminants

Lohmann Animal Health has introduced CarnEon, a new brand of L-carnitine, which activates energy metabolism in monogastrics and ruminants.

Developed to activate energy and metabolism in animals, the CarnEon range currently consists of three main applications. These products include CarnEon 100, a powder product containing pure L-carnitine for use in liquid applications; CarnEon 50, a granulated product suitable for use in dry feedstuffs for monogastrics; and CarnEon - 20 RUMIN-PRO, rumen-protected micro-pearls which is specially formulated for use in feedstuffs for ruminants.

Improved energy supply in animals has various positive effects, such as efficacy in daily growth and feed conversion ratio in young animals. CarnEon further supports the maintenance of body condition during the lactation phase, thus improving milk production, carcass quality, egg production, laying persistence and hatchability.

Lohmann will be continuing efforts to extend and develop the range.
