Belarus to build US$996.35-million grain drying complexes
In 2011-2015, Belarus is planning to invest US$996.35 million for the construction of 796 grain drying and cleaning complexes (with 30- and 40-tonne capacity per hour).
The major financing resources for the programme are banking loans, companies' own funds and local budgets. There will be also constructed and tested high-technology complexes of 60- and 80-tonne capacity per hour. Nearly BYR1.7 trillion (US$564.60 million) will be allocated to the construction of the aforesaid facilities.
According to the ministry, there were built about 500 drain drying and cleaning complexes in the country in 2006-2010. In 2009 the focus was made on the construction of complexes with 15 and 20-tonne capacity.
The programme stipulates the upgrade of almost 740 grain drying and cleaning complexes in 2011-2015.
