ONIGC tweaks up 08-09 French soft wheat seeding estimate

French farmers seeded 4.97 million hectares of soft wheat for harvest in the 2008-09 season, a rise of 3.8 percent on-year, according to the French state grains board Wednesday.

France's Office National Interprofessionnel des Grandes Cultures (ONIGC) said this was a slight tweak up from its previous forecast of 4.96 million hectares.
