Excel Technologies to roll out new poultry control system at IPE
Excel Technologies will be presenting its new family of products at the International Poultry Expo (IPE) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Among the new rollouts is Momentum Evolution, a climate and production control system for poultry houses.
According to the manufacturer, the system manages all aspects of climate control and production including heating, lighting, fans, air inlets, foggers, water meters, feeders, silos, weighing and alarm systems.
A central unit using a touch-screen and a graphical interface allows the user to monitor all activities and change parameters when needed.
The manufacturer said the major strength of the Momentum Evolution lies in its high level of safety and intelligence:
This is demonstrated through the autonomy of controllers, which allows them to continue to function efficiently even if the central unit or communication link fails.
The system's software system would analyse information collected by the controllers and takes into account the interactions between their functions. From this analysis, the central unit provides energy savings by adjusting the controllers in real-time by coordinating the equipment in use.
The system also offers remote access capabilities via the Internet or any other communication network for remote monitoring or maintenance purpose.
Excel Technologies will be presenting its new family of products at the IPE in Booth B5038. IPE, the world's largest display of technology, equipment, supplies, and services used in the production and processing of poultry and eggs, has been held each year for the last 60 years. In 2007, IPE drew nearly 20,000 visitors. This year, Excel Technology has been selected by the IPE as an Eco-Innovation product provider.
Founded in 1999, Excel Technologies specializes in the design, engineering, manufacturing and sales of electronic systems for the agricultural market.
