Slovenian poultry firm's sales up 22 percent
Slovenia's poultry producer, Perutnina Ptuj, reports that its 2008 sales grew 22 percent to EUR230 million (US$303.3 million).
The result exceeded the company's original sales target, said the company on Thursday (Jan 15).
Last year, the company registered the largest sales increase in foreign markets, according to Roman Glaser, general manager and CEO of Perutnina Ptuj.
The company's foreign sales doubled to EUR100 million (US$132 million) in 2008, Glaser said.
Perutnina Ptuj comprises of 18 companies located in Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania and Herzegovina with over 3,300 employees.
