Australian poultry meat processor looking for expansion investment
 

Australia's second largest chicken meat processor, Bartter Enterprises is anticipating expansion due to rising poultry demand.

The Riverina-based company is hopeful private investment will pay for the growth and development of the company's production and processing ability.

Chairman Peter Bartter said the industry has been driven by growing consumer demand and notes that the trend towards healthy diets is driving up chicken consumption.

This growth would necessitate the company's expansion to keep up with market growth, he said.

Family-owned and operated Bartter Enterprises manufacture and distribute fresh and frozen, whole and portioned chicken and turkey products nationally.

The company owns Steggles, one of Australia's most recognisable and iconic brands for chicken meals and snacks.
