Further falls in China lysine prices amid slack demand

Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending January 13.

Hog market weakened further, curtailing the sales of animal feed. With feed millers limiting the purchases of lysine while availability remained abundant, lysine producers cut prices in attempts to stimulate buying interest.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were mostly in the range of RMB8.30-8.60/kg.
