Thailand holds international bird flu conference
Thailand will host an international conference on bird flu slated on January 23 to 25 to better handle or prevent avian flu outbreaks.
Around 400 scientists and health experts coming from at least 40 countries will attend the conference. More than 140 research programmes and studies will be addressed by the experts.
The conference will include seminars, mini conferences and workshops where experts will share ideas on the direction of scientific development and trends in bird flu treatment and prevention.
Prasit Palitpongarnpim, chairman of the organizing committee in Thailand, said the conference will look into outbreak prevention not only in poultry but especially in humans, through the development of more effective vaccines.
