Hermitage appoints new general manager in Germany

 

 

Hermitage Deutschland GmbH has appointed Dr Walter Vaitiekunas as its new General Manager, effective January 1, 2010.

 

Dr Vaitiekunas studied animal life science at the Agricultural faculty of the University of Göttingen and received his doctorate at the Institute of Animal Nutrition.

 

Dr Vaitiekunas has much experience of the German pig production sector, having previously managed several large German agribusiness companies.

 

This new appointment reflects the importance given to the German market in the overall worldwide strategy of Hermitage.

 

Hermitage Deutschland GmbH was established in 2003 and has high health multiplication units producing both purebred and hybrid gilts for the German market. In addition to breeding stock sales, Hermitage Deutschland GmbH also supply semen throughout Germany from their high health AI station in Golzow.
