Methionine price stabilises as Chinese buyers limit buying
Prices of methionine were mostly stable during the week ending January 12.
Sales slowed considerably as buyers were cautious with procurements at current price levels. In several regions, methionine prices showed signs of stabilising.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were in the range of RMB32-35/kg.
Prices are therefore less likely to surge further even though the availability of the product will continue to stay tight.
