New ISA outbreak in Chile

Chile has reported of a new ISA virus outbreak after some weeks without any cases in the country.

A new case was detected in the 11th Region just when the ISA nightmare was thought to have finally passed.

The affected site has received positive results from the laboratory, after mortalities associated with the disease were recognised.

A National Fisheries Service (Sernapesca) report also said there are five suspect sites, which have positive results from the labs but no clinical disease manifestation to date, 29 sites under sanitary fallow and 13 sites in risk areas - two of which still have fish.
