Australian Meat Output Maintains Upward Trend
The recent upward trend for meat production in Australia was maintained through November, with output during the month rising above October and year earlier levels, according to the latest data available from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
This was despite trend slaughter numbers for sheep and pigs declining during the month. For sheep, monthly slaughterings have been trending down for six months, while pig slaughter has been trending downward for eight months.
