Japan Agriculture Ministry To Seek 142,000 Tons Wheat In Tender Thursday
Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will seek a total of 142,000 tons of milling wheat in a buy tender to be held Thursday, a MAFF official said.
MAFF will buy 40,000 tons of wheat from the US, 41,000 tons from Canada and 61,000 tons from Australia, the official said.
MAFF will also buy 20,000 tons each of optional-origin feed and food barley.
All wheat and barley cargoes will be shipped on March 11 - April 10, the official added.
