China Whey Weekly: Sluggish demand holds prices weak (week ended Jan 11, 2015)
Demand for whey showed little improvement in China, as feed producers withheld buying while hog market stayed weak. Nonetheless, traders were reluctant to cut prices further as most of them were incurring losses with whey prices plunging 24% since last June. Year-on-year, whey prices were lower by 17%.
