Miratorg's 2010 pork output rise 18% on-year

Miratorg posted a 17.9% rise in its 2010 pork output to 136,800 tonnes in live weight compared with the same period in 2009, while 2011 output is expected at 165,000 tonnes, the company said Tuesday (Jan 11).

"The output increase was backed by Novoslobodsky, Yakovlevsky and Zhuravsky pig complexes achieving full production capacity in 2010," the company said.

The total breeding sow livestock in 2010 rose 19.6% to 61,500 heads as the company launched second and third stages of the Safonosky complex and the first stage of the Kalinovsky complex. The company plans to launch several other stages of its complexes in 2011 raising the reproductive herd in the Belgorod region to 87,000 heads.

Output of Miratorg's Korocha Pig Complex in 2010 jumped 79% to 107,920 tonnes on-year.
