China buys additional 3 million tonnes soy

China will buy a further 3 million tonnes of soy and 5 million tonnes of rice to stabilize local grain prices and protect farmers' interests, the State Administration of Grain said Monday (January 12).

The purchase prices will be unchanged from three earlier such purchases, the administration said in a statement published on its Web site.
