Brisbane Export Investments acquires Adisseo Australia

Drakkar Group SA and Brisbane Export Investments Pty Ltd have announced that Adisseo Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Drakkar Group, has been acquired by Brisbane Export Investments on Jan 10, 2007.

Adisseo Australia Pty Ltd, based in Brisbane, Queensland, is focused on the manufacture of premixes and distribution of nutritional feed additives for the animal industry in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia.

This transaction has confirmed Adisseo's strategy to exit the premix manufacturing activity and to focus on 'preferred partnerships' in the distribution of its feed additives to better serve customers in the animal nutrition sector.

The transaction will allow Brisbane Export Investments Pty Ltd to further develop the existing premix and feed additive business operated by BEC Feed Solutions Pty Ltd, and to establish a preferred partnership with Adisseo, a leading global supplier of feed additives.

Reflecting its new ownership, the name of Adisseo Australia has been changed to Newman Animal Nutrition Pty Ltd. Newman Animal Nutrition will continue its activity as the exclusive distributor of products for the Adisseo Group in the territory, in particular methionine (Rhodimet), vitamins (Microvit) and enzymes (Rovabio).

Adisseo and Brisbane Export Investments Pty Ltd have assured customers and suppliers that staff will be retained to ensure business relationships are maintained. The new owners stress that excellence in customer supply and service will remain a priority for Newman Animal Nutrition.
