Taiwan's Great Wall buys 60,000 tonnes of US corn

Taiwan's Great Wall Enterprises has bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from trading house Cargill in private negotiations, a Great Wall official said Wednesday.

While the official did not give any further information on the deal citing confidentiality reasons, other traders said the cargo will be shipped from the Pacific Northwest from February 10-24.

These traders also said the deal was struck at 124.5 cents/bushel above the CBOT May contract.

However, Great Wall officials declined to confirm details.
