China 2007 soy imports 30.82 million tonnes, up 9 percent
 

China's soy imports in 2007 totaled 30.82 million tonnes, up around 9 percent from a year earlier, a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday (January 10, 2008).

China's soy imports during the first 11 months totaled 27.89 million tonnes, up 8.1 percent on year.

The General Administration of Customs is scheduled to release China's initial trade data Friday.
