Good Year Forecast For Beef Producers In Australia
Local beef producers can expect strong incomes and exports this year, according to the Cattle Council of Australia.
The optimistic forecast follows what the organization expects will have been a strong 2004 for beef producers, with beef exports estimated to have increased in volume by nine per cent and in value by 18 per cent.
Cattle Council president Bill Bray said it was looking like a strong year for producers.
Demand from Japan remains robust, while the outlook for exports to the US was positive with Australia likely to fill its quota again this year.
