China affected by FMD in south west region
Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) has been reported in Guangyuan, south west China, according to the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
Lab results confirmed FMD type-O, after it has been reported that 30 pigs at a slaughtehouse displayed FMD symptoms.
Currently, measures are being carried out to stop the spread of FMD - 124 pigs were culled and the infected area had been sterilised.
