IAI Expo 2011 sets new industry benchmarks

The sunshine of Karnal shone brightly on IAI Expo 2011 which closed on Dec 3, 2011 having delivered three days of powerful business opportunities and connections as India's leading exhibition on Poultry, Dairy & livestock industry broke all its own records.

 

Pre show expectations were more than met with 13,458 registered trade visitors (Increase of 4.7% from IAI Expo 2010) including more than 200 International visitors from 20 countries leading the way to substantial business being conducted on the exhibition floor.

 

 

"The coming decade will be extremely important for the prosperity of the Indian Poultry, Dairy & Livestock Industry, and will demand and require greater production efficiencies. It is our inherent dream and desire that IAI Expo & IAI VISION 2020 will play the role of an important medium to reveal innovations in Research & development to the Indian Poultry, Dairy & Livestock industry and hence contribute to their prosperity. IAI Expo 2011 has clearly proved its strength of being India's leading platform for the complete Animal Industry to come together and conduct business," commented Vishal Rai Gupta, Chairman, Pixie Consulting Solutions Ltd.

 

IAI Expo 2011 was graced with the presence of The Netherlands & France as the partner countries and hence witnessed presence of leading International players who looked at IAI Expo as a platform to connect them with the leading stakeholders of the Indian Animal Industry.

   

"To showcase the expertise of The Netherlands in Animal husbandry, we are present here at IAI Expo 2011-the spectacular event on Animal Husbandry in NDRI," said  Henk Van Duijn, Agriculture Counselor-Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. To further stimulate animal husbandry business in India, Netherlands has signed a MOU between National Meat & Poultry Processing Board and Netherland's Product Boards Livestock, Meat & Egg. "It's all about business, we are here to do business and that's what we did here", said the Agriculture Counsellor. "The only thing I would like to say is we would like to see you next year at IAI Expo 2012", such a statement from the honourable counsellor speaks volume about the value IAI Expo has been able to provide to its leading stake holders.

          

"The challenge of productivity is rising again in India, to face this challenge solutions are to be found to the use modern technologies along with adoption of best practices. France is looking at India and we are present at IAI Expo and are looking to develop full presence in India," said Jerome Desquiens, Head of Agrofood Department for India, French Trade Commission. "We feel proud to announce that France is the partner country to IAI Expo 2011 and also we would like to congratulate Pixie Consulting Solutions Ltd. for bringing IAI Expo 2011 to this level in a short span of time", he added.

 

The importance of the event was emphasised by the honourable chief guest Smt. Sumita Singh, M.L.A-Karnal and also the guest of honour Dr. K.S. Dangi, Director General, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of Haryana along with Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director and Vice-Chancellor, NDRI (Karnal) who inaugurated both the events.

 

Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director and Vice-Chancellor, NDRI (Karnal) in his key note address emphasised on the key requirements of dairy industry i.e. breed improvement, fodder & milk processing. Comparing the exports figures of different countries with India, he stated that IAI Expo plays an important role to increase the collaboration between Indian & International Dairy Industry through successful joint ventures.

 

Dr. K.S.  Dangi, Director General, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of Haryana shared his views on the contribution of Haryana and its livestock industry in GDP growth. "IAI VISION 2020 is the perfect platform to discuss the strategies to meet the growing demand 10 years down the line," he added. He stated IAI Expo 2011 is a well laid best exhibition which gives a wonderful opportunity to all stake holders in livestock production and he was indeed pleased to visit it and wished it all success.

 

The year 2011 also witnessed the launch of IAI VISION 2020 - 1st International Symposium on future of Poultry, Dairy & Livestock Industry of India organised by the core group of 30 leading industry stalwarts & Pixie Consulting Solutions Ltd. IAI VISION 2020 was an attempt to envision the future of the Indian Poultry, Dairy & livestock industry by the year 2020. The symposium had been broadly classified under four segments namely: Farm Automation, Animal Health & Nutrition; Storage; Animal Genetics & breeding; and Automation & Processing.

 

The conference was adorned by the release of 1st white paper on Dairy Industry which was drafted by the committee.

 

Along with the launch of white paper; Amrit Feed, leading poultry feed manufacturer also launched  their new brand 'Max' and Ayurvet, India's leading animal care company released a booklet during inauguration ceremony.

 

IAI Expo 2011 also proudly welcomed Renita Bhaskar-First Secretary, Trade and Economic Affairs-Delegation of the EU to India along with other eminent dignitaries from various embassies who were there at both the events. Senior State & district officials from various states of India graced the event with their presence, thereby making IAI Expo 2011 a true representation of Indian Animal industry at one platform from all corners of the India. They interacted with the leading technology providers so as to bring prosperity to their states & districts and adopt better hygienic practices.

  

The exhibition survey reveals that 95% of the exhibitors were satisfied with the number and quality of visitors and expressed their interest for participation at IAI Expo 2012.
