Turkey firms' meat product banned for export to Russia
Poultry from two Turkish enterprises is banned to export to Russia from today, January 10, for the reason of their non-compliance with Russian veterinary standards.
Russian Agricultural Supervision reports that the limitation concerns Bupilic Entegre Gida San. Tic. A.S and Banvit A.S.Kemalpasa Hindi Kesimhane enterprises. The decision was made on the results of the tests carried out by Russian and Turkish specialists at Turkey's poultry enterprises on November 1-13.
Turkish poultry farmers began delivery of their production to Russia in February of 2010. Thirteen enterprises of Turkey including those sanctioned now had the right to poultry meat export to Russia. Meanwhile, Banvit production is sold in Azerbaijani shops without restrictions.
