China lysine prices consolidate lower

Lysine prices mostly stable during the week ending January 8.

Even as producers lowered prices previously, demand showed little improvement. One major producer attempted to lift prices but in vain.

Imported 98.5-percent lysine transacted prices were at RMB10.50-10.85/kg.

Demand will be slow as most buyers have stockpiled sufficient inventories. Lysine market is poised to stay weak in the coming period.

RMB1=US$0.1652 (Jan 9)
