Vietnam to boost seafood exports to EU by 25 percent this year
Vietnam gears to export seafood products amounting to US$1.15 billion to the EU market this year, a 25 percent rise from 2007.
The country's overall export to the EU is predicted to surpass US$10 billion in 2008.
To further tap the EU market's potential, Vietnam will strengthen presence in Germany, UK, France, the Netherlands and Belgium markets. It will also find new markets in countries like Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
In 2007, Vietnam reported that exports to EU reached US$8.5 billion, a rise of 19 percent from 2006.
