French poultry processor LDC recovers from bird flu effects
French poultry processor Lambert Dodart Chancereul (LDC) has reported a 4.3 percent rise in sales in the third quarter of the year, reflecting the strong recovery it made from the effects of bird flu outbreaks that swept Europe last year.
Turnover for the quarter reached EUR 400.4 million.
The company, which claims 24 percent of the French poultry market with its poultry brands Poulet de Lou¨¦ and Le Gaulois, saw turnover for the first nine months of the year rise by 1.7 percent to top EUR 1.135 billion.
