China's winter conditions may affect local wheat crop
China's developing wheat crop may be affected by the country's winter conditions, according to the China National Grain and Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC).
China, the world's biggest wheat producer, is experiencing its coldest winter for 28 years and widespread snowfall and lower temperatures, since January 2, have affected crops in southern growing regions and along the Huai River, CNGOIC said in a report, without giving an estimate on crop damage.
