Alliance Grain Traders completes acquisitions

Alliance Grain Traders Inc. announced on January 6 that it has completed its acquisitions of assets from Parent Seed Farms Ltd. and Finora Inc.

Both acquisitions have closed in escrow effective December 31, 2009, and are awaiting completion of land title transfer and registrations, which is expected to complete by January 20.

The two acquisitions add six processing facilities for processing beans, lentils, peas, chickpeas and other specialty crops in four locations - St. Joseph, Manitoba, Canada (operating as Saskcan Parent), Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Canada (operating as Finora Wilkie), Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada (operating as Saskcan Assiniboia) and Gibbons, Alberta, Canada (operating as Saskcan Gibbons).

Alliance Grain Traders Inc. is a pulse processor and exporter engaged in the business of value-added processing of pulses and specialty crops, for export and domestic markets.
