Cargill expands UK poultry business with acquisition
 

Cargill Inc. is expanding its UK poultry operations with the acquisition of Freeman's of Newent Ltd. in Gloucestershire, the firm said on Monday (January 7, 2008).

The move with augment Cargill's Sun Valley chicken business with UK operations in Hereford and Wolverhamption. Other Sun Valley locations in Europe include Ireland, France and the Netherlands.

Cargill also has poultry facilities in Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua and Thailand.
