Lysine prices show no signs of stabilising in China

Lysine prices slid further during the week ending January 6.

Feed millers continued to hold back purchases while hog prices showed no signs of recovering. Additionally, weakening soymeal prices, which discouraged the usages of lysine, put a lid on the consumption volume. To stimulate buying, lysine producers cut prices further.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were lower in the range of RMB8.40-8.80/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1610 (Jan 7)
