Chine methionine price hike slows
Prices of methionine were stable to higher during the week ending January 5.
Methionine prices continued to surge in several regions albeit at a slower pace.
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market rose to RMB23-25/kg.
The availability of methionine will remain tight, pushing up prices in conjunction with the strong buying interest in the period leading to Chinese New Year.
