Pakistan agricultural exports climb nearly 18%
Despite damage to the agricultural production brought by flash floods, Pakistan's food group export registered an increase of 17.92% during the last five months of the current fiscal year.
Meanwhile, about 884,164 tonnes of agricultural commodities were exported during July to November 2009, contributing US$376.480 million to foreign exchange reserves, it added.
The export of fish and fish preparations also witnessed an increase of 34.30% as about 50,512 tonnes of the commodity with a total cost of US$109.057 million were exported during the period under consideration. During the same period of last year, about 37,095 tonnes of fish and fish preparations were exported with a total cost of US$81.210, it added.
