Thirty-five tonnes of food products banned by Bulgarian authorities
The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has executed 112,173 inspections at commercial outlets selling food products, catering establishments, factories and warehouses in its first 10 months of operation, and banned 35 tonnes of food products.
The inspectors have issued 10,416 instructions and have drawn 3,580 statements for administrative violation.
Authorities have banned and scrapped 35,362 kilograms of food products, 119,949 eggs, and 5,840 litres of soft drinks. Some 352 sites have been shut down.
