Ukraine's agri exports more than seven times of import

Export of agricultural products in 2011 exceeded import sevenfold, Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Ihor Kaletnyk has said.

In addition, according to him, import of meat products reduced by 40% and, respectively, their export increased by 60%.

"This is a bright example that in Ukraine this sector has already came out of the crisis and reached an extremely high dynamics of boosting its capacities," the Customs Service head assured.

Kaletnyk also noted that in 2011, Ukraine exported 13 million tonnes of grain crops and twofold more corn against 2010.
