France announces changes for milk management quotas
Milk producers in France are able to go beyond their 2011/2012 milk quota by up to 2%, without penalty, said the French Agricultural Ministry.
In October 2011, it is announced that smaller producers (up to 170,000 litres) can exceed their quota by up to 10,000 litres.
Minister Bruno Le Maire said that these measures will allow producers to take advantage of the strong dairy markets that have been seen.
