As of January 4, Ukraine's 2011/12 marketing year exported 9.65 million tonnes of grain crops, which is 2.86 million tonnes up against an index of the same date of the previous marketing year.
As the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry informs, Ukraine, in particular, exported 2.49 million tonnes of wheat (1.33 million tonnes of milling wheat, 1.16 million tonnes of feed wheat), 1.87 million tonnes of barley and 5.18 million tonnes of corn.
In December, 2.55 million tonnes of grain crops were exported, the majority of which fell on corn - 2.16 million tonnes.
According to a forecast of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, with full provision of internal needs and formation of necessary transit stocks, export of grain cultures over 2011/2012 marketing year can make up 25 million tonnes, out of these, wheat - 7.8 million tonnes.
