UAE issues Spanish eggs recall

Â
Due to the threat of salmonella contamination, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority in the United Arab Emirates has issued a recall of eggs from Spain.
Inspectors have visited retail markets to ensure the affected products are removed from the shelves. In addition, the authority is conducting tests of random samples of Spanish eggs to determine the level and extent of salmonella contamination.
The recall comes in the wake of a recent salmonella outbreak in the UK, which traced back to an egg producer in Spain.
