France's fertiliser prices rise on-year

Since the beginning of 2010, the fertiliser prices in France had been climbing and the trend continued until last year.

According to the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information, the growth was driven by substantially higher prices of energies and fertilisers.

For instance, the prices of potassium fertilisers grew 28% on-year and nitric fertilisers 60%. Generally, global demand for fertilisers recovered after the crisis year of 2009.
