Hybrid Turkeys acquires three GP breeder farms in France
To meet the demands of growing market share in Europe and the Maghreb region, Hybrid Turkeys has acquired three grandparent turkey breeder farms in France, and two additional properties for future expansion.
The farms are located near Sennevières, in the Indres-et-Loire department, South-East of Tours. All three facilities are built recently, and are designed for grandparent turkey egg production.
Eggs produced in the newly acquired farms will be shipped to Hybrid's European based parent stock hatchery which was acquired earlier in 2009.
The objective of Hybrid Turkeys is to serve the turkey industry in Europe and worldwide by adding production infrastructure over more continents to secure supply effectively.
Following this acquisition, Hybrid Grand-Parent production will be located in Europe, the US, Canada, and Israel, providing a stable supply of turkey genetics for Hybrid customers worldwide.
Hybrid Turkeys is the turkey breeding division of Hendrix Genetics. The head office, hatcheries, research and pedigree farms are located in Ontario, Canada. Main activities are in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Canada.
