Chilean AquaChile tops salmon exports

As of October 2009, AquaChile's salmon exports topped at US$121 million with a market share of 10% in the country.

This result was followed by Mainstream with exports totalling US$110.7 million and a 9.2% market share. Chilean producer companies salmon exports totalled US$1,201.1 million.

According to reports, the third position of that ranking correspond to Marine Harvest, which exported US$110.3 million with a 9.1% of the market share over that period.

Moreover and taking into account just October, Chilean salmon exports totalled at US$89.1 million with Marine Harvest accounting for US$10.2 million worth of salmon exports in that month and a market share of 11.4%; followed by AquaChile, with US$7.7 million exported and an 8.6% market participation; and Camanchaca, which exported US$7.3 million with a 8.2% market share.
