Private exporters reported to the US Department of Agriculture export sales of 120,000 tonnes of corn for delivery to Egypt during the 2006/07 marketing year, the USDA said Thursday (Jan 4).

The 2006/07 marketing year for corn began Sep 1.

US exporters are required to report to the USDA sales of 100,000 tonnes or more of any commodity made in the same day to the same destination by 3:00 pm EST (2000 GMT) the next business day, according to the USDA's Foreign Agriculture Service. Any export sales under 100,000 tonnes must be reported on a weekly basis.
