Ukraine ships 64,000 tonnes corn to Japan

Ukraine has sent its first 64,000 tonnes of corn under an 800,000-tonne contract.

Last month Japan had bought about 800,000 tonnes of corn from Ukraine for shipments between November and March to diversify suppliers.

Traders in Ukraine have said Japan late in October bought one panamax cargo of Ukrainian corn in the first shipment of grain between the countries in over a year.
