Russia returns German poultry meat imports

Russia's state inspectors of border veterinary checkpoint "SVH Inmar" of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kaliningrad detected violation of veterinary legislation in the import of 19,400 kg of frozen poultry meat from Germany.

A mark of a plant which had not been stated in the certificate was detected on seven boxes in the course of consignment inspection.

The Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on import of animal products into the Russian Federation from this plant due to detection of banned and harmful substances in animal products that were imported earlier.

Whole poultry meat consignment was returned to German supplier in accordance with declaration.
