AP partners Schauer Agrotronic

Automated Production Systems (AP), a manufacturer of swine feeding and ventilation systems, has partnered with Schauer Agrotronic GmbH, combining Schauer's electronic sow feeding technology with AP's presence in the US market.

The new partnership will offer the Compident Electronic Sow Feeding unit to the US market through AP sales and support.

Concerns for animal welfare have led to the banning of gestation crates and the push for alternative housing systems. The AP/Schaeur Compident electronic sow feeding system is suitable for group housing of gestating sows and can be retrofitted into existing facilities.
