CSPC first in China to receive FAMI-QS certification for vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 products of Heibei Huarong Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd, under China's Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd (CSPC) have received approval from the European Feed additive And Premixtures Quality System (FAMI-QS), marking the first time a Chinese company has received the certification for vitamin B12. 

Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd is one of the top 3 pharmaceutical companies in China and one of the biggest suppliers of ascorbic acid products in the world.

FAMI-QS ias EU's quality certification system for feed additives and pre-mixtures. It is a mandatory measurement for all feed additives and premixtures produced for use in the EU market. Huarong's vitamin B12 products have received approval from relevant authorities in the US, Britain and EU after getting the Community of Science (COS) certification in September 2005.

The COS is a US-based global resource for information in scientific research, collaborating research among 500,000 researchers in 1,600 institutions throughout the world.

The FAMI-QS certification is expected to be a boost to CSPC's drug manufacturing capability.
