Bulgaria To Send Report On Measures To Eradicate Pseudo-Poultry Plague
Bulgaria is going to send Brussels a report on the measures it has undertaken to eradicate the pseudo-poultry plague, which was registered in the village of Ridino, southern Bulgaria. In the report Bulgaria insists that the EU remove the ban on export of poultry, which Bulgaria was imposed before Christmas.
According to the veterinarian experts, all the measures have been undertaken to stop the dissemination of the disease. The poultry around the centre of infection have been vaccinated. None of the 1,500 blood tests, which were made, contained the Newcastle virus. Besides, no new cases of the disease have been registered, reported BNR.
It is expected that the imposed sanctions on Bulgaria will be lifted at the regular session of the EU Food and Veterinary Office on January 11th.
