Most buyers have restocked inventories in Europe, resulting in a soft export market. Hence, even as domestic demand firmed up lately, vitamin E price hikes were limited during the period in review.

Vitamin E price quotes by major producers were mainly around RMB100/kg, while small producers priced their products lower.

In Europe, local producers' price quotes of vitamin E were mainly in the range of EUR8.90-9.20/kg. China producers' price quotes were at EUR7.65-7.75/kg.

Slow demand from Europe will limit the overall sales of vitamin E during January. However, prices are expected to rise as domestic buyers stockpile inventories in preparation for the Chinese New Year.
