Denmark's DanAvl certified by ISO standards
 

 

Leading breeding system, DanAvl, is now certified according to the quality management system of ISO 9001:2008, the internationally recognised standard for quality management of businesses.

 

The Danish Pig Research Centre owns and manages the DanAvl concept and brand, and all parties within the system, such as the nucleus herds and multiplier herds, have a signed contract and agreement with the research centre. Part of the achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification is the contract and agreement structure, set-up and the effectiveness of the breeding process. Also, all research and development work within the DanAvl-system, which is carried out at the centres premises in Copenhagen, Denmark, is now ISO 9001:2008 certified - the benefit is an aligned implementation of the breeding methods and breeding objective.

 

The certificate was achieved the end of November, 2012.
