Jordan tenders to buy 50,000 tonnes of barley

Jordan's Ministry of Trade and Industry said on Wednesday (December 26, 2007) it is tendering to buy 50,000 metric tonnes of feed barley of any origin on a cost and freight basis.

Jordan is looking to buy the barley for shipment until Feb. 10, Muhannad Ghesh, senior importer at the ministry, told Dow Jones Newswires.

The deadline for bids is Jan. 16, he said.
